Sculptures by
Lila Turjanski-Villard
Born in Argentina where she studied sculpture in clay, her
work was exhibited at the Argentine Center of Ceramic Art and private galleries in
Buenos Aires.
Her classes in contemporary sculpture at the Westchester Art Workshop
at Westchester Community College, motivated her exploration of new mediums,
including plaster and glass. Two years ago she started to experiment with sculpture in
paper to continue her journey with space, shape and movement suggested by the
human figure.
About the Sculptures:
The sculptures are made primarily of paper and wire. Very small pieces of paper are
glued together around the core structure which generate the specific texture of the
surface. The sculptures have a patina finish. They are coated with a protective sealer |
